letting people know about pancake day

on friday the 19th of feb vcal class went around to all classrooms to inform the kids of pancake day coming up the following tuesday. we let them know all the information like how much pancakes and milkshakes are what flavour and what topings and the money we are raising is for united care charity.

2010

i am re starting to use my blag from last year, by the end of this year i hope to have completed and passed my vet course and vcal certificate, i also hope to start full time work as an apprentice carpenter.

pancake day

on the 27th of febuary, VCAL ran a pancake day to raise money for the bush fire appeal, we sold pancakes and milkshakes and ended up making a few hundred dollars, it was a succesful day and the whole event ran very smoothly.

english task

Home Movie
Our group consisted of me, Alex Rundell, Dylan Aisbett, Reece Carney and Marcus Boyles.
My contribution to the movie was: I was acting as a friend to the driver who snorted cocaine and drank and got in the car with the driver who was on cocaine and drunk and was meant to be taking us to the football grand final after party but we had a crash into a tree and I was an injured passenger along with Dylan and Rundell and checked up on the driver (Marcus) who was dead, I also helped by putting in ideas and contributing whilst brain storming at Dylan’s house and helped with the set up of the movie which was based in Dylan’s lounge room and moved out to his front yard and a bit down his street and also I helped by writing out some of the script and putting in any ideas I thought would be good and drawing some of the flow chart. We all also studied up on and wrote out a page of information about what cocaine can do to you, your personal life and physical and mental health and why you should not be driving while on it.
Our groups idea was to show people that even though you might think you are able to drive under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol that you are not and the odds of crashing while under the influence are a lot higher than you might actually think and a lot of crashes and deaths are caused each year by people who think it wont happen to them.

activity center 7/10/09

on the 7th of october the vcal class embarked on a journey to the belmont activity center to play games and stuff with kids aged 5 and under we played with a parachute thing, soccer and hoola hoops and other misculanious items most of the time the kids where entertainig themselves but all in all successful mission. after wards we got mcdonalds and i had a grand angus burger it was good.

i missed out on the first time the girl came but the second time she came she was talking about cleanliness and hygene, she spoke to us about how we should approach an interview like how to dress and speak. she let us have some minty drop things for good breath and showed us deoderants that didnt smell that good.

VCAL CAREERS EXPO EXCURSION

on friday the 24th of july vcal began yet another journey this time on our way to melbourne to go to the careers expo the train ride went for about an hour. once we arrived we went to safeway to get food and a drink and then walked to the melbourne exhibition centre, when we got there we had a wonder around having a look at all the different jobs and talking to some of the people about what its like to do that certain job that they where campaigning. we left early and had free time which we used to get mcdonalds and have a look at some shops. we got back on the train to geelong at 2:00pm and that tokk about an hour to get back and then finally we went home.

28th of july community work

me and marcus went to roslyn primary and helped the preps in the morning we helped them with reading and did activitys with them and organised a trip to safeway which we will be going on with them next week we helped them top write out a shopping list with what they would want to buy and what they would want on a sandwhich.

tuesday 21st of july

i accompanied marcus and alex rundell on or community work at roslyn primary in the morning we helped the preps with reading and did activitys with them and in the afternoon we helped the phys ed teacher with the year 3, 4, 5 and 6′s me and marcus we’re doing the long jump and rundell was doin the shot put after we packed up and i got the school bus home.
